Do you question religion but feel some kind of longing for spirituality and beauty? Do you like rainbow flags and incense, justice and rituals?
The Pilgrim House is a safe place for progressive wanderers to explore faith and ritual, a place for those who have lost their faith in institutional Christianity or their belief in God but are still longing for something of beauty and hope. It is a place to find open and affirming community that seeks to break free from the bondage of borders, national allegiances, capitalist holdings, and exclusivity.
We are an experimental community open to mystery and questions. We are constantly deconstructing and reconstructing, seeking to better understand what it means to be human in the ways of love, compassion, and acceptance.
We ask for no financial support. You may choose to give to a specific project we may sponsor, but we have no building or staff to maintain. We will encourage and help each other find ways of giving themselves to the service of others in charity and love.
We have many other religious homes, too. And that’s okay.
How can you be part of this experiment? For now, you can…
- Sign up here for our weekly email reflections.
- Participate in a semi-weekly liturgy lab in Sioux Falls, SD and online that is child-inclusive and rich in symbolism and ritual.
